Born on the 7th November 1995, Triona one of eight Children was the first girl after four boys followed by two younger brothers and her little sister. As a small baby in her red bouncer unable to escape she was her fathers only audience as he learnt to play the guitar. Triona quickly learnt how to kick her feet in time to the rhythm of the music and she believes this is where her love for music came from. At the age of nine her Dad taught her how to play her first three chords  on his guitar and she quickly fashioned her own style of playing. Triona counts Opening for Joan Armatrading at the age of 16 in Vicar Street, Dublin and receiving the Cel Fay bursary award  for Young Musician of the Year as just a couple of the highlights of her burgeoning career.

In march 2014 she was one of the four singer/songwriters chosen by Panarts to fly to Nashville to showcase her music. Triona had the pleasure of playing at the famous Bluebird café, the Music City Roots show, The Americana Festival and Belmont University. In September 2014 Triona was selected by the government funded organisation Generator NI, to be a part of their talent development programme.

Generator NI chose Triona to fly out to Nashville for a week’s writing with some of Nashville’s finest writers. Closer to home, Triona released her first single “Flames” which was play listed on two of Northern Irelands Major radio stations, Cool FM and Downtown. Triona is currently the voice of the new Power NI campaign streaming across TV and radio in Northern Ireland with a cover of “Shining Light” by Ash.  In late September 2015 Triona released “Shining Light” as a single and was the first local artist to make it in to Cool Fm’s Shazam charts at number 16.

Triona has showcased at the annual Belfast Nashville Songwriters’ Festival and was invited along to open for Van Morrison in the 3 Arena, Dublin. Triona has toured along with top Irish artists Brian McFadden and Nathan Carter on their UK and Irish tours and also had the privilege of playing alongside top artists such as Kodaline, Gabrielle Aplin, Gavin James, Hudson and Taylor and the Coronas in Dublin’s Ruby Sessions. Triona is currently flying back and forth to Nashville, TN to work on projects with some of Nashville’s top grammy award winning songwriters and producer.
